On 8th March 2025, the National Institute of Design Assam (NID Assam) celebrated International Women’s Day with a vibrant competition, inspiring speeches, and meaningful discussions. Women participants showcased their creativity, and the winners were awarded prizes in recognition of their efforts. The Director emphasized gender equality and progress toward a more inclusive world on the theme #AccelerateAction, while women employees shared personal reflections on the day’s significance in fostering positive change.
In addition to these activities, NID Assam organized a range of impactful events, including a workshop on Self-Defense and Personal Safety, designed specifically for the women of the Institute, and a talk on Women’s Health and Hygiene, aimed at raising awareness about important health issues. A thought-provoking session on Women Empowerment and Gender Equality further deepened discussions around the critical need for societal and organizational transformation to ensure equal opportunities for all genders. The celebration was further enriched by cultural performances that showcased the diverse talents of women in the Institute. The day concluded with light refreshments, providing a space for participants to engage in meaningful conversations, connect, and celebrate the achievements of women globally.
