A delegation of three officials from the Bhutan Youth Development Fund (YDF) has visited NID Assam on 24th & 25th Feb 20026 to explore a strategic partnership for mentoring and establishing a design institution in Bhutan. YDF, a national non-profit under royal patronage and presidency of Her Majesty the Queen Mother Tshering Pem Wangchuck, and with the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck as Vice President, focuses on holistic youth development aligned with Bhutanese values. The visit aims to seek NID Assam’s academic guidance, technical expertise, and institutional support for the proposed Royal Academy of Design & Arts (RADA). The collaboration envisions long-term engagement through curriculum development, faculty exchange, and capacity building, positioning RADA as a centre of excellence rooted in Bhutanese culture and global design practices.
