The country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950, replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Republic Day was celebrated in the NID Assam campus with lot’s of enthusiasm by the entire staff and faculty members. Prof. Ravi Shanker, Director, NID Assam gave an insightful speech on the occasion highlighting the social integration, contribution and responsibilities of each and every members of the institute. The air reverberated with patriotic slogans and remembering the heroes of our nation who gave their blood and sweat in making of the India, the nation we proudly belong to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
