Through the programmes incorporation of traditional rural craftwork into the curriculum and development of collaborations with indigenous artisans, cultural legacy is not only preserved but also infused into modern designs, creating a fresh outlook on Indian fashion. The focus on industry-based projects and internships gives students practical experience and exposes them to challenges and opportunities in the fashion industry. This method broadens students grasp of the various components of Indian and international fashion while also improving their practical skills. Moreover, the attention to cutting-edge methods and the investigation of novel technologies, like 3D surface and fibre technology, in addition to the study of natural fibres and materials, demonstrate a progressive approach to education in the textile and apparel industry. By analysing regional resources and studying indigenous technologies and practices, students are not only encouraged to be creative but also to develop a deeper understanding of sustainable and culturally relevant design practices.
